Become a Notetaker!
Note taking isn’t just for college! When you have an idea for groomsmen gift ideas, wedding favors, or even venue ideas write them down! When you and your bride are stressing about ideas and cannot be creative these lists are great to go back to for ideas or to spark new ones. Creativity and uniqueness are important to some couples and so trying to come up with a bunch of different ideas can become draining. The website, Brides, created a list of unique wedding ideas that you can use for inspiration. There are hundreds of articles like these that will get your creative juices flowing.

Keep Organized Lists
Lists help people stay organized and keep track of everything you need and want to accomplish. You can easily prioritize the tasks here and star things that need to get done sooner than later. Knowing what needs to be done and when will make you look like you know what you’re doing. A really intuitive and simple website that has a base list started is Real Simple. Their website provides a list of things that should be accomplished before the wedding day. You could go off of this list or use it as a base list. The list will help you stay organized and help you prepare properly for the big day.

Prepare for the little things!
There are a ton of tiny details in the wedding planning process that are just as important as the big things. Some of these things that can get done ahead of time are finding a photographer sooner than later, figuring out (and or getting) your groomsmen gifts, and even getting your tux and your groomsmen tuxedos. These things are subtle but at the end of the day are extremely meaningful. The groomsmen gifts are extremely meaningful to them and will be something they can hold onto forever. You want to ensure the gifts are personal and meaningful. You can search for gift ideas at GroomsmenGiftIdeas.com.

Regarding a photographer, if you don’t already have some options in mind, asking your friends and family who they suggest is a good place to start. Most photographers have websites or even Facebook pages that allows you to look at their work. Even a simple google search will bring up local photographers. Usually people have a “vibe” or even theme that they want portrayed not only throughout the wedding but also in their wedding pictures. Finding the perfect fit of a photographer is important for this. You need someone who is capable to capture what you guys both imagine, and it can take a little time to find that person.

When finding a tux, you and your bride should have had already discussed color scheme and what you and your groomsmen will wear. Once you know that finding a store that carries these colors and even the sizes you need will be easier. Planning this day in advance ensures everyone can make it and that the store will have staff and space available to assist you all.

Know your plan like the back of your hand!
You want to be the type of groom that knows absolutely everything. You want to know what is going on and in what order. If someone has a question you want to be able to answer it. Knowing where everyone is supposed to be at what time is important and extremely helpful to take the stress off of others as well. A way to do this is to divide and conquer when you and your bride are planning the wedding and rehearsal dinner. This helps take the stress off of your bride and makes you become a part of the whole process which allows you to know the details of the big day. Being a part of the process will make it much more memorable for the both of you.

If you follow any of these simple tips then you will not only appear to know what you are doing, but you actually will which is even better. Being prepared both mentally and physically is important to your bride, the big day, and yourself. Keeping a list, educating yourself, get the simple things done first, know the detailed plan, and be a part of the planning process are easy ways to look smart before the big day.
